The center welcomes Thomas Lockyear, manager of the Museum of the Everglades in Everglades City, for a presentation on how the building of Tamiami Trail, the road across the Everglades, changed South Florida. Advance registration required. $10 for in-person attendance; $5 virtual. Doors open at 5 p.m. with appetizers and a cash bar. Lecture 6 to 7 p.m. The museum is located at the Islander Resort, mile marker 82 bayside.
