Plein Air Key West attracts local and visiting amateur artists. Artists in all media — watercolor, acrylic, oil and pastel painting, charcoal, pencil sketch — are welcome and can register at the Key West Art Center & Gallery, 301 Front St., between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. or pre-register online. Work must be back at gallery by 1:30 p.m. A March 12 reception with a ‘People’s Choice’ awards is set for 5-7 p.m., at the Art Center.
